Don’t we all want a home that works?
Having a home that works for your family takes a lot of different layers of love, grace, patience, and practice. I’ve been keeping a home either for myself or my family for over 20 years. Lots of trial an error, lots of learning.
I even spent a year as the business and marketing consultant for a cleaning company. Let me tell you, nothing makes germ and dirt neuroses worse than writing about cleaning twice a day. Phew, I had to watch Hoarders once in awhile just to feel better about my house. And I learned that focusing on the house wasn’t the same as making a home. Making a home means focusing on the needs of the people in it, a need for rest and sanctuary, a need for shelter and warmth, a need for love and family. And doing the necessary stuff the best way, so we get to the fun stuff faster.
I wanted to create a page where you can find all the links to my best home posts, cleaning tips, kitchen tricks, maybe recipes, and how to have a home intentionally designed around your faith.
I hope you’ll enjoy building this resource with me. Please let me know if there is a specific topic you’d like to see my thoughts on.
Intentional Home – These are my posts about serving the Lord through my home.
Recipes – I don’t do a lot of cooking, but I thought I’d share a few of my favorites. I might even share some of my husband’s if he lets me, he takes tinkering in the kitchen to a new level.
Housework Help – this will be a place for my housework ideas and posts, but I am still working on transferring all that old data. Will update soon!
